If you wonder how and why we are here, feel free to read the story below:

In 2018 we bought a Cornhole set from one of the big box stores; took it camping and after just one night of dew, the decal started to lift, and the particle board legs started to swell.  I thought, wow,I am no woodworker, but I think I could do better than that.  So after about three weeks of working on it, we emerged from our garage, victorious with a decent cornhole set (with corn-filled bags.)

After many requests to make sets for friends and family, I decided to start "producing" boards.  Afterall, I had purchased a vinyl cutter a few years ago with the intent to make car graphics, but I was about a decade late to that party.  So with my vinyl cutter, and newly honed woodworking skills, I was off making sets for friends and family.  Every set had countless hours of time spent on the boards, but no effort on making bags, in fact, they were sourced from, well, I am not sure, but I doubt they were manufactured in the US.  This always bothered me, but I didn't know how I could fix that.  Afterall, I was no seamstress.

Then the pandemic hit and the focus changed.  Turned out that we were supposed to wear masks, but supply was very limited. So to every problem there is a solution, and here it was; what if I could learn how to sew masks?  I could help the community while learning a new skill, two things I am passionate about.  So I turned to the amazing supply chain that is Craig's List to get a used machine, and the school of YouTube to learn how to use it. 987 masks later, the demand for masks is way down and the supply is just about everywhere. Time to put those sewing skills, and the other four machines I acquired over the two years of mask making, to good use (to my wife's demise).

Throughout this time, a friend of mine was also honing a skill.  His was throwing a one pound bag of plastic filled resin into a six inch hole, twenty seven feet away, yes, the game of cornhole was on the rise of popularity during the pandemic.  My friend was very interested in determining what fabric types would make the best bags and since I had all these idle machines, why not make some bags?  Then so it began, an almost daily occurrence of new fabrics arriving at my home to be turned into a new set of prototypes that he would be happy to test.  (I think this is where the phrase, "you sew, I throw," came from-SMH.)

We are now on our sixth major revision to the design and after countless hours of research, prototyping, testing, and yes, playing, we believe that we have mastered the art of making custom cornhole bags that rival those seen on TV being thrown by the professionals.

I am happy to use all of this knowledge to help you design a custom set of bags just for you and your cornhole needs, whether they be throwing outside in the backyard with family, or participating in some friendly competition.
